Cocreator, Cofounder, President, Owner
As the cocreator of MeMoves, Chris Bye has spent more than ten years developing the first patented system for self-regulation. He has a background in music and an understanding of systems and processes, but his greatest gift may lie in thinking outside the box, as he works to deconstruct the box and everything inside, to build it differently, and better. Chris did his undergraduate work at Gustavus Adolphus College and his graduate work at UW-Madison. He has taught numerous classes at UW-Madison, UW-River Falls and the University of St. Thomas. As a featured speaker, he has presented at numerous conferences and seminars on the topics of integrating movement and music into the classroom, reducing anxiety and depression in people of all ages, and developing tools to help those with special challenges. He is one of the founders of the Fly Fishing Film Festival in River Falls and serves on the Board of Directors for the Kinni River Land Trust. Chris lives near Hudson WI and enjoys playing the piano and hockey, canoeing the Canadian wilderness, fly-fishing, golf, travel, and English Setters.
Cocreator, Cofounder, CEO, Owner
Roberta has always been curious, working with non-profit organizations, learning how to build houses in Bath, Maine; continually asking ‘why’ and ‘how.’ When she was pregnant with her first child, her house burned down in the middle of the night on one of the coldest nights of the year. The fire inspectors said it was a miracle that she and her husband made it out alive, but that miracle came with a heavy price in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder, and she began asking questions about her own nervous system.
Her passion and persistence proved invaluable when her daughter was born on the autism spectrum and she learned all she could about embodied cognition, music, movement, rhythmicity, and their impact on the nervous system, learning, and socialization. She has spent more than twenty years developing a patented system that helps people of all ages and abilities to calm their nervous system, learn more easily, and increase their capacity for connection, friendship, and compassion.
Roberta attended Carleton College and the University of MN, studying speech pathology and audiology, psychology, and Russian. She lives in western Wisconsin with her husband, dogs, and chickens, and is lucky to be the mother of two interesting young adults.
